I’m going to have to respectfully disagree with Hamlet, because “to be or not to be” isn’t the question. The question is, “do I try this new serum/foundation/brow pencil/[WHATEVER NEW PRODUCT IS TREDNY AT THE MOMENT, or do I stick to what I already know works for me?”

Let’s start with the packaging of the product. The eye tint comes in a long, thick, cylindrical, and transparent plastic tube. The tube closes with a black-colored screw on type cap. There is a regular doe foot applicator attached to the cap. The body bears the necessary product-related information. The clear tube helps to spot the shade easily from makeup stash. The shade name is also printed at the side of the tube. Overall, the packaging is nice and travel friendly.
NYX Lid Lingerie Eye Tint White Lace Romance is a basic frosty finish white eyeshadow with a metallic pearly sheen to it. This is a pretty shade for creating cut-crease eye makeup looks. It also works lovely as an inner corner highlight. Also, I liked the fact that the formula is not insanely pigmented, so it does not look ashy. The pigmentation is decent and buildable. The brand itself claims that these have quite sheer pigmentation. You may build up the color according to the requirement.
The texture of the eye tint is creamy and buttery smooth. It is not too thick and the texture is mousse-like. It is lightweight and glides effortlessly and spreads easily on the eyes. It is so easy to blend and it takes time to set and hence I get enough time to blend it properly. It does not budge at all once it sets.
It is transfer-proof but it is not waterproof and comes off easily with water. It sets to a nice pearly matte finish, if I could say that. It is not too bling. Rubbing the eye smudges the eye shadow. It easily lasts for 6-7 hours on my eyes without much fading. It is very easy to remove using a makeup remover.

First thing I’m going to do after I return this to Target and get my $9 bucks back is go to In-n-Out for a vanilla shake… Then, I’m going to pour a little out on the ground to mourn my lost homies (otherwise known as “the lashes that unexpectedly fell out when I tried using it”).
I’m also going to order a bucket of fries and a cheeseburger to comfort myself, since I can’t get back the minutes I lost this week trying to actually curl my lashes with the thing.
Why was it so hard to figure out how to properly angle the black rubber pad along the outer corner so it nestles the base of my lashes…? And why did it pinch my skin every time I clamped down on the curler?
OUCH!
I eventually figured out that if I squint my eyes and lift my lid with a finger, I can get down to the base and give the curler a good squeeze, but even then, the curler only bends the base of the lashes ever so slightly, and those few curled hairs relax back into their natural straight state within minutes.

I’ve talked about the misery inflicted by my makeup pencil sharpener before, but I’m no longer livin’ that messy life, because I recently figured out how to make it perform better by — novel idea here — cleaning it!
The solution I stumbled on has two parts. First, I ditched my Make Up For Ever, and UD Grindhouse, sharpeners for the no-frills Sephora sharpener shown at the top. It doesn’t have a built-in enclosure to catch the shavings, but that actually forces me to toss the shavings in the trash after every use.
Those enclosures never seem to stay affixed very well anyway, and they burst open no matter how many rubber bands I wrap around them.
Second, and this part is key, I swipe the blades clean after every use. To facilitate this, I keep baby wipes from Costco around and usually end up using one of those, but makeup wipes, a clean Q-Tip, tissue or a cotton pad (either soaked with a little makeup remover, or just dry on its own) work too.
Doing this ensures that there aren’t any errant makeup particles floating around, and consequently no transfer of color between eyeliners and lip pencils.

Beginning with the packaging of the product. The paint pot comes in a decent sized glass jar that closes securely with a mirror finish screw-on lid. There is a label at the base of the pot that bears the shade name. The glass jar needs to be handled carefully and it is not travel-friendly.
The shade “Pink Craze” is a bright neon fuchsia pink color. The color is very pretty and catchy. It is a crème color which is supposed to be used as a lip paint. It gives a very bright lip look that is perfect for summers. It can also be used as an eyeliner or as an eye shadow. It does not contain any kind of sheen or shimmers in it.
The formula is very pigmented. One swipe gives an intense color. You can achieve perfect opaque coverage easily. The formula is creamy and super blendable but it sets pretty quick. So, I have to be very quick in blending.
The texture of the product is creamy and smooth. I mix a few drops of Inglot duraline to make it more smooth and creamy. Once it sets, it does not budge around as such. But, it might smudge if you rub. It is pretty much transfer-proof. It sets to a nice matte finish.
The formula is slightly drying in nature and it does emphasize the fine lines of the lips. It is slightly drying as a lip color. So, it is not good for people with dry lips.
I like these paint pots more for eye makeup. I have used it as eyeliner in the eye look attached below. It lasts for 5-6 hours on my eyes with a little fading. It can be easily taken off with a good eye makeup remover and does not leave any stain behind. Overall, this is a decent product and I love the color of this particular paint pot.

I wore makeup to the gym for the first time in forever yesterday (There was a reason… More on this in a sec.), and guess what? It led me to develop a list of go-to sweat-proof long-lasting makeup products that I know won’t budge an inch, even after an intense 60-minute HIIT class!
Not that I ever wear a full face when I exercise, but it never hurts to be prepared, right? At least now I know what to grab if Sydney Cummings ever asks me to do a workout video with her.
I think having a number of sweat-proof, water-proof products on hand is a good idea for people who do performances (dude, those stage lights are HOT), or if you’re going to be a guest at a destination wedding in a tropical locale, or if you’re going to Vegas to sit by the pool — basically, any situation where you know you’ll be sweating and you don’t want your brows/lashes/lips to melt off.
Anyway, the reason this particular makeup challenge came about was because my HIIT teacher asked me to be the “member of the month” at the gym for September 2019.
I bought 7 eyeshadows from the brand Morphe and have already tried and tested several single eyeshadows and other makeup products and makeup brushes from this brand.
